Veterans Hall of Fame Nominees

Former Leon County Sheriff Larry Campbell was one of eight names presented to the Governor and Cabinet today for inclusion in the Veteran Hall of Fame 2015 class. Campbell died last year after two decades as sheriff and four decades in law enforcement. Veterans Affairs Director Mike Pendergast says Campbell’s military service and subsequent work in law enforcement earned him a place in the hall of fame.
Former Governor Lawton Chiles and Congressman Charles Bennett were also included in this years nominees. Governor Rick Scott and the Cabinet will vote on the nominations later this year.
