Samson Trial
March 18th, 2011 by flanewsThe trial for former House Speaker Ray Sansom begins Monday. Sansom faces charges stemming from 2008 when he used his leadership position to put six million dollars in the state budget to build an airplane hanger for a political contributor. The hanger was scheduled to be built on Northwest Florida State College. The former president of that school also faced charges, but he reached a deal and will now testify against Sansom. Also on the list of witnesses is former Governor Charlie Crist who signed the 2008 budget.
