Crist Names Four to Head Agencies
December 18th, 2006 by Mike VasilindaGovernor-Elect Charlie Crist made four new appointments today. Craig Fugate, who is the current head the state’s emergency management agency will keep his job under Crist. the governor-elect is also creating a deputy director position at Emergency Management that will be filled by Miami Fire department Operations Chief Ruben Almaguer. Kevin Hyde will take over the Department of Management Services, which supervises state contracts. One of his first jobs will be to review the massive out-sourcing of state personnel functions. The final appointment is to the Agency for Workforce Development. Crist appointed Monesia Brown, a Crist Aid from the Attorney Generals office to head the Agency.
